Joined to learn a bit more about these cars. My purchase one in a few months from a friend and thought I should do a little reading. My other old car interests are BMW 2002 models.

Welcome to the forum. Any questions you have, feel free to ask. We love our cars but we're not afraid to tell you their weaknesses as well as their strengths.
We have a huge 2002 group in the Winston-Salem, NC area. They are a great bunch of guys.

Welcome. I had a BMW 2002 and feel both my spiders are way more fun. One caveat is that I never drove a Tii.

Thanks. A 1919 Old Town? Oddly enough I have sailed one although I am unsure of the vintage.

Yep, 1919. Was my great-grandfather's, then my grandfather's. I asked him for it when I saw he didn't use it any more. My brother and I paddled it up to the start of the Severn river in Maryland when I was a teenager.

Ours has been at our lake house in the Adirondacks since long before I was born. We used to use it all the time until about 10 years ago my mom had it restored and because it looks too good and weighs a ton, nobody uses it. We might hang it in the rafters of the main room as a piece of art so to speak.
