Hello all.
I am new to this web page .I recently did a job for a lady and she couldn't pay her bill.
I wasn't happy about that.
She offered me her old Spider in exchange for partial payment.
She haddn't run in years and was garage kept.
Well..swapped paperwork,Towed it home and 45 minuites later.Shes alive!(Not bad Condition..< I must say!!!)
Its a little 79 124 Spider .Not bad but you can tell there is an issue with the transmission.
(5-sp)I think that I will drive her this year just the way she is and then in the winter at best give her a new v8.
I will give the parts to any other Spider owner whom needs them.
But that will be (After) winter!
Until then,Its snowing and I still drop the top and took her for a spin!!
The Neighbours think I am Crazy..
WOO-HOO!!!
Richard.
Top down and snows a flying!

Hi, welcome to the forum.
your going to put a v8 in a 124? but you will loose that high rev that makes people look up and stare when you go by.

I used to have a 69 MGB in Canada, and although she was usually tucked away for the winter, I'd take her out sometimes; great fun! Although a few times I had to use the B because the winter car had packed it in!
I'm jealous!
