Exhaust manifold to downpipe bolts or studs?

When I unbolted the header pipe from the manifold I noticed 3 out of 4 were bolts and not studs. I'm assuming there suppose to be all studs. Are the studs for the downpipe on a '79 8mm X 1.25 x 35mm ? Thanks.

it had studs originally, that size is pretty easy to obtain.

One of the advantages of the studs is that you can then use the tall copper nuts that were original equipment.
