New member in Atlanta

Or more accurately Lawrenceville, a suburb just NE of Atlanta. I'm getting back into the Fiat scene after being Fiat-less for about 4 years. I've had two x1/9s in the past, as well as a 79 Spider that I owned for about 6 years. I'm in the process of purchasing a 1983 Pininfarina Spider that will be a little bit of a running project. I have a deposit on it, and hope to complete the transaction this weekend.

I've noticed lots of members here from the Atlanta/North GA area, so looking forward to meeting some of the local folks. I'll post up some pics of my new project as soon as I take possession.

I think it's a pretty solid little car, but it has some cosmetic warts. A dent on the driver's fender, and a home made luggage rack that will come off immediately, as well as a driver's black leather seat that has more ripped seams than good seams. Good news is it ran well during my test drive, other than a clutch that engaged about an inch off the firewall. Almost no rust, one quarter sized bubbling on the left side behind the rear wheel. Proper 14 inch alloys in good shape, AC is still there, but currently inoperable. Seems like most of the Pininfarina bits are there, so I'm looking forward to getting here shipshape and dependable. My goal is to have a more fun vehicle to use for my 38 mile commute to work!!!!

I'm sure I'll have many questions, so I look forward to interacting with everyone here.

I am also from Atlanta. There are some great Fiat specialists around your side of town so you are lucky if you are ever in trouble.
