Radiator Stays Cold, cold lower hose?

Post by Fiat88 »

I'm trying to get my new spal fan to kick on but the lower hose stays cold even when the temp reaches 190>. It's a new rad, fairly new thermostat, and I did put a flush "T" in the heater hose and the thermostat is installed correctly.

I did have some leaks at hoses because the clamps weren't tight enough, don't see any more leaks. I rebleed it. Could it be the gauge is not accurate? Any help is appreciated!

a flush T will not eliminate trapped air in the lower radiator hose. still need a bleeder hole in the stat.

I guess that's the best course of action now.

I followed the burping instructions in Vics. You need to get the front of the car up higher than the rear. Check with Lanciahf. He's the king of burping Fiats and other less appealing things :D George
