I just picked up a 1981 Fiat Spider anniversay edition last fall (#017). This site looks like a great resource for questions on the car. I've found a few querks on it and see from other postings that that's not uncommon. Overall, the car runs great and has been a blast exploring the roads less traveled. The GPS does not plug into the cigar lighter in the car, since it's a different diameter than a standard cigarette lighter. It just makes the trips a little more interesting when you don't know where you'll end up.

Hi 017,
I'm working on the dash of my 76. I just tested my power cord on the cigarette lighter last night and mine works fine. Maybe you have a different style. I've also found that a fully charged GPS will work off the batteries for quite some time. I make sure to turn it off when its not needed.
Anyway, let's see some pictures of old 017, and good luck with it.

We do have a few Fiats here in central Indiana! Central Indiana Italian car club is on Meet-up.com. but we are moving everything to Facebook. Usually, a member in Kokomo has a fall yard party. Last year we had a fall drive in Brown county. Next time you head south, gimme me a holler! Good luck with your new toy! Dave

I missed the meeting on June, 18, but might try to make it if there's another one later in the year. I'll link up through Facebook or Meet-up to stay in the loop. Or, will you be posting a notice here at this forum?

Best bet is to pm me your e mail address, and I will add you to the mailing list. I believe our fall drive in Brown county will be October 8.
