This Ebay deal stinks

Post by spiderrey »

I bid on an early spider nos down pipe because it was cheap and had no reserve. 5 bucks. No one else bid so I won. The seller then claims he didnt have the item, he claimed to have another nos setup that was only had surface rust from sitting on ther shelf for all these years. He stated it was never mounted. I kinda figured he was lieing but as long as the description was honest I was fine. It was only gonna set in the garage for the way future.
i received it today and it has way to much crud to be nos. He is in Indiana. And it is a buisness. I really sucks when someone sets up a no reserve and backs out.

I'd ask for money back first, I know it's only $5 but if this was done over and over that 'only $5' becomes his income stream. Then tell him you'll negative feedback him and then you'll post on every fiat forum you know what his 'business' is all about. If he is a serious business we will realise that for his $5 income is not worth that amount of negative feedback both on ebay and more importalty all of us who just dont only look at ebay!!
May 2c worth anyways...good luck with it.

Completely stinks--beginning to end. But it's a $5 item, and other than leaving negative feedback (and probably getting the same in retaliation), the chances of getting any real satisfaction are nil. Personally, I don't think chasing after principle alone--and there's nothing other than principle involved--would be a good use of my time for something so basically trivial. And in the time I'd otherwise spend really going after the clown, I could probably completely clean up that downpipe. But that's me; you may see the use of your time differently. Either way, you don't owe the rest of us anything other than maybe a warning about who this guy is. And I'd word it carefully, we'll understand what you're saying. without having to put yourself in the position where this jerk could come after you. Other than that, just do what works for you.

Thats kind of what i figured. Leave negative feedback, its harder for the seller to leave negative feedback on the buyer. Not that I care. Anyways, I bought this thing from Donato78, its actually Donato @ sons Motors, I wont be going down that road again. Its not even close to the description I received.

Did you make a complaint to eBay, they will fine or kick him off for selling something he doesn’t have.
