I was reaching for the clicker with 15 seconds to go ...
They were getting too cute; too many passes ...
Congratulations to the Canucks and their fans. Both can probably use a few days off :D I know I could use a little more sleep!
Another barn-burner tonite, though :?

Ok

So Now what are you going to do..????

It's been a long time since 72 and those great teams from then.. I watch now and then and yes happy to see them in it again this year but to much showmanship ..... Hate the way they all have to scoop down and pump their fist, Ray Bourque like...
I know I'm going to sound old saying this but miss the Bobby and Phil show when they hardly raised their sticks when they scored..(Espo maybe .. Orr never..)

Should be a good series..

Orr, Espo, Hodge, Cashman, Bucyk, Cheevers. Those were the Bruins I loved as a kid, growing up on the "South Shoh." Haven't really watched a hockey game since then.

I guess I'm going to have to go with the mixed feelings! Although, as others have pointed out, the Bruins of today are not the Bruins I rooted for in the past. Anyway, one way to look at it is that regardless of who ultimately wins the Cup, I will be somewhat pleased.

I not only predict a Canucks win, I also will predict they'll be a contender next year :)

I have been following the Canucks since 1979! I grew up watching the Stan Smyle, Harold Snepsts, Glen Hanlon, Darcy Rota and Thomas Gradin era! The finals against the Islanders in 82 was no contest (we lost in 4) Our only chance to win a game was the first one that went into over time. Gradin late in the first OT period had the best chance right on the door step but Billy "the head hunter" Smith stopped the shot. Then Harold Snepsts passes right up the slot in his own end right to guess who? Mike Bossy, game over instantly!

The Kirk Maclain, Pavel Bure, Trevor Linden, Cliff Ronning, Geoff Cortnall, Greg Adams and Dave Babych dream team was a treat in 94. We were a goal post away (shot by Nathan Lafayette) from forcing game 7 into over time against the mighty New York Rangers. Was not to be, we came just short.

but not this time baby, it’s ours this year (I hope)

YA!

Should be a good series. I wonder who will be the tightest tonite?

When third line grinders score the winning goal....Canuckleheads are going to do well in this series..perhaps a sweep? Enjoyed the game...too many penalties though, both sides going to have to clean up their act there.

Looks like Vancouver can play the Boston game better than the other way around.

Talk of a sweep is akin to driving off in your Spider without first checking under the hood.

Funny you should mention that. When I park my fiat in the carport, I usually pop the hood latch and leave the hood up. Paranoid about leaks I suppose.
But a sweep.......tough to do but I believe are capable.

A sweep? Brooms on ice - isn't that a different sport, curling? - JK.
