New fiat 124 owner and new to the site

Post by parsok »

Hi Folks,

We just picked up our 1974 spider this past weekend. We picked it up as a project car for my son and I to work on.

It's been awhile since I turned a wrench, hoping I still remember how

You'll probably get sick of seeing my name on here as I hope to make extensive use of the members fabulius wealth of expertise!!

Cheers,

Dave

Always happy to have a new member. I can assure you we will not tire of you or your questions. We do expect to see pictures and always want to see the progress you make in redoing the car.

I highly suggest picking up a few different manuals on ebay or from one of the vendors who support us all, Haynes is fairly simple and clear, the factory manual is for a real mechanic but is the most accurate. Having more than one can give a good overview of how to do a particular job.

74 is a great year, last of the smaller bumpers (unless the car was originally sold in Maryland or California where they have a bigger bumper).

Welcome and bring on the questions.
