I bought my '81 Spider in '95. I did a ton of work on it when I first got it, but haven't done much to since, until recently. I replaced the heater control valve, repaired some lighting issues, and resolved some rattles and window adjustment problems. Next are ball joints and bushings. I plan to take this car to Frisco, Colorado for the summer.
BTW, I cannot get my pix to fit correctly. It seems that no matter how I size them, half the picture is missing. Help!
Love the site. I have learned alot already.
Best,
Ed

I think the forum automatically cuts pictures to the width of your screen. We just need to "view image" to see the whole thing.
I love the color combo. Has a classic look.
You're the first car I've noticed that has the two color door panels with the black on the top. Mine is that way. What color is your top? I'm wondering if my top ought to match the rest of the interior or be black like the top of the door panels.
Tim.

I've always liked the color combo too. The burgandy interior was fairly rare, I think. My top is tan, and it it the original top! Good luck with your restoration. The Spider is a great driving car, comfortable and nimble. And they are rare enough that people are asking "What kind of car is that?" Great fun.
