what is there involved on the hinge of the 69 doors. i have free play in the door as i can move it up and down a tad.
is there some sort of bushing?

Re: door hinges
Two things will let the door move up and down. Easy fix is if the pins are worn one can source a set of hinges from a used car being parted out. More difficult fix is if the hinge backing in the door is cracked. This is very fixable but welding skills are required.Going to have to remove the door panel to check that one. A tip I got from this forum some time ago was to put green tape along all the edges near the hinge end when taking the door off or putting on / aligning.
