Locked Trunk (Boot)
Dumb move on my part but I tightened the trunk (the Aussies and Brits would call it a boot) so tight that it will not release when I turn the key. The key works ... it turns the latch but not enough to release the trunk/boot lid. Any ideas on how I can open it?

Yes, tried pushing down the lid while manipulating the key ... tried every other conceivable other combination of pushing and pulling. Even got my wife to participate in the "garage dance."

Re: Locked Trunk (Boot)
There's a thread here somewhere describing the technique to open the trunk without a key. It involves drilling a small hole in the area covered by the license plate. Search for it, and maybe you can exert enough force on the clasp with this method to open it.
Of course, if you had installed Trunk Monkey ....

Got it open. Turns out that a PO had the same problem and I found a hole behind the license plate. Simple matter to slide a screw driver in there and pop the trunk/boot open. Thanks for the quick replies. On to the next challenge.

Re: Locked Trunk (Boot)
I have a wire tied onto the trunk release that is accessed through the rear passenger quarter panel so that if it does happen, its just a few philips screws to access (couldnt access our trunk on a roadtrip to whistler, wanted to change into some nicer clothes to dine at the Araxi....we went anyways )
