Welcome! You will find the folks here to be knowledgeable and eager to help. We also appreciate pictures so when you have a chance do search this site for the steps to take to post pictures and give us a chance to see your car. There are many Spider owners in the PNW but we are scattered around Oregon and Washington -- but a good number are in the greater Seattle area.

Hello and Welcome. There are several threads here dealing with model year selection and pre-purchase checks, including this one: http://www.fiatspider.com/f08/viewtopic ... 13&t=14052

Welcome to the forum. I am down in Federal Way. Have you decided on a year? There are some differences in hoods, bumpers and engines. Carborated or fuel injected. Rust or no rust ;)

Let me know if you need any help.

I appreciate the thread recommendations and the offers to help. After reading the materials I'm thinking pre-73 or post 81. But I still want to learn more before I make the plunge.

Zippy - I'm actually in Normandy Park so we're practically neighbors.

IMHO the '80 Fi is among the best of the bunch - and there seems to be plenty of them around too.
