Hello from Waterloo, Ontario

Post by BlackBerry »

Hi everyone,

joined the board to learn more about these cars. I'm in the market to purchase a spider, but not sure which year yet. It's actually for my wife to drive mostly.

I actually was initially attracted to a spider a few months ago when i saw one in craigslist. It quickly sold, but after searching on the net, I found exactly what I'm aiming for.

If anyone has any knowledge of the type /style of rims, and whether or not that's a stock paint color, please let me know. Also, just knowing the year (looks like a 70?) would be handy.

I found a few posts dealing with what to look for when buying. But any other buying tips, would be definitely appreciated!

i've got the bug :)

I'm guessing those are the modern 1-piece replicas of the old Speedline three-part rims that were standard on the European Volumex Spider (supercharged). Attractive.

That's a fabulous looking car, and truly a survivor if it's from Waterloo.

The picture is from the internet.....

I don't know if those are the rims you're referring to. I'm counting many more holes then those.

I actually think they are ronal A1's with a fiat badge. In either case, super rare :)

I was informed that they are 15" Zender Ronal a1, a popular rim with the Alfa crowd.

This post says its 678 - Grigio.
