Charcoal Canister

Post by WYSpider »

A while back I had a Fiat mechanic replace my 28/32 with a 32/36. What an improvement.

In the process he left two lines unplugged to the charcoal canister. In the event I ever wanted/needed to restore the car completely back to original.

The line on the left goes to the top of the canister and the one on the right to the bottom. I will be replacing these lines with short ones that are plugged to clean things up and want to document how things originally went to the 28/32.

On pg 140 of Brooklands one of the lines reads "float bowl vent line"; the other "line to intake manifold". Which is which?

the larger hose connected to the bowl vent, the smaller to a vacuum source
