Hey! new user from Ontario Canada

Post by Doctorwire »

Hi all!

What a great site! I just picked up a '78 spider as a project car.
I've always sworn by good ol' american muscle but i must say, this car has made me a changed man. Such beautiful simplicity!
I will have a lot of questions for all of you as i restore this car, so please go easy on me if I ask stupid questions!
If anyone lives near Burlington Ontario, please let me know,

Thanks, and again...what a great site!

Welcome to the site Rene and congratulations on picking up a great car. I'm not near Burlington but would be glad to help if I can. My son is attending university at Brock so i'm down that way occasionally. Please show us some pictures when you get a chance.

Thanks guys!
My fiat is definitely a project car. It runs, drives, and stops but needs lots of work. Mostly cosmetic.
The car was brought up from Virginia a few years ago so the body has very little rust, and the undercarriage is almost spotless. It's a welcome change to be able to remove 33 year old bolts with little effort instead of a lot of WD40!
I will post some pictures soon, right now it is getting certified (just the bare minimum so i can move it around) Over the winter i intend to tear it down and send it out for body and paint.

Welcome fellow Canadian :D

I live in Moncton New Brunswick. I’d love to help with any info I can. my email is ovidet@nbnet.nb.ca

I get all my parts at http://www.vickauto.com/newstore/, they have been extremely helpful in the restoration of my 1974 fiat spider, with there help I won many car show awards. There prices are very good.

Love to see images of your car.

All the best

Ovide
