Just got my invoice from IAP. I've got LOTS of hoses coming, calipers and more. Hopefully will get the fuel line assembled this week, get the calipers installed. Unfortunately I have to wait a few weeks for the reservoir to master cylinder hoses to come in. I'm pretty bummed about that, but it's not like I don't have other things to do. It'd be nice to get the brake system working though, so I can pull it out of the garage to work on it if needed. Or to clean it.

Having a rough time today putting things together. More so taking them apart. All my brake lines came apart with no issue until I got to the last hose to replace. STRIP/ROUND OVER. Never fails. Last one. The three other tires are all set! Calipers on and everything. Even the Hand brake line went on easy. I'm going to have to order a new brake line from IAP and replace the line that I can't get off. Not too happy in that respect.

if you only need one of the rear brake lines then shoot me the length. i hade to replace all my hard lines about a year ago except for a couple after the rear compensator. if this is what you need and i have it then we can work out a cheap discount on a part i have laying around with shipping.

I'm getting INSANELY tired of order wrong parts. I just ordered brake booster hose from IAP and it's not what I thought it was. I was looking for the hose from the reservoir to the booster. The two yellow and orangey lines. Instead I got these huge ones. What are they for? Can I use them? Do I need to send them back? Apparently IAP doesn't offer what I need or I'm over looking it. I only ordered there because I was ordering a PILE Of parts from them. I see the correct line on Bayless with little searching. It's not IAP's fault, but I'm having a VERY VERY VERY hard time ordering all the proper hoses for this car. It's driving me insane. INSANE

I'm having one of those days/weeks where nothing is going right and I just have to stop working before I fill with rage and mess something up. A few questions. Is there only one of these clips on each pad? Because two won't fit. AT ALL.

Also, here are my rear brakes. Did I put the spacer in the right spot? Or is it supposed to be touching the caliper? My phone got ruined which had my BEFORE pictures. Hopefully this is right.

For some reason my front calipers do not want to go on. That is my major issue right now. I put in one spacer and when I go to put in the other, there is no room. I don't know why. Could I have the wrong spacers/biscuits? Are they bigger on the rear? Did I mix them up?

your assembly is incorrect. you have the spring in the same groove as the shim. it needs to move to the small groove next door. look at the bottom pix for correct assembly. should solve your issues.

#1-THESE clips i beleve is a squealer of sorts it tells you when your pads are low ...one per side in front

#2-shims are all the same size

#3 no

azruss! Thanks! That's exactly what I thought. I looked at them and my brain exploded. Then my mind said "you're taking those apart buddy." Then my ego said, "forget that!" Then my common sense decided to settle the bet. I'll be taking them apart tomorrow and reassembling. not sure why my front calipers don't want to go back together properly though. Very irritating.

Brakes are all done. Ordered the blue hose from Midwest Bayless and installed it. Just need to bleed everything.

Took the car outside and into the driveway a few times this week. Scrubbed off mud, dirt and debris with sponges. Used a tooth brush throughout the engine. Need to do more, but looks SO much better already. I may tackle a few of the holes in the body soon. I just need to cut two major rust spots out and weld in patches. Then smooth it all out and seal it from both sides for now.

I replaced a lot of hoses in the engine compartment and will be working on the tank to fuel line hoses asap. Whew. It's going slow, but it's pretty hard when parts aren't readily available.

Just did some work on the trunk and did some rust treatment where the fuel line will be installed under the car. Pictures and more at my blog. I wish it was easier to post pics here. Waiting around for photobucket kills me.
