The previous owner cut this up and had pieces hanging everywhere. I thought it was just one wire, but when I unsoldered the ends and peeled back a little jacket I see that there are two wires that need to be reconnected. They are both white with no markings. I assume it won't matter which I connect to which, but thought I'd ask before I fry something. Any help is VERY appreciated.

Can't tell for sure the color of the connector. If it is blue it might be for the cold start valve. One terminal of the cold start valve has 2 wires on it. The other has only one. There is a thermal time switch located in the water jacket of the intake manifold. Its located low and hard to see. The single wire to the cold start valve provides a ground until the thermo switch times out. The other wires are power to the cold start valve and thermal switch. I don't remember if that power originates from the fuel injection dual relay or if it comes ot of the electronic control unit.

That is for the cold start injector. It's the only injector that gets signal from two places so the two white wires are grounds. They both end at the same terminal on the injector, so it wouldn't make a difference which goes to which.

You're the man Ron! Thanks buddy. Soldering now. BAM!
It's amazing how many tiny problems like this are all over my car. If the darn thing where just left alone I could just replace parts as I go and be done by now.

Re: Need to Resolder Unkown Wires
When I hear about the wiring cob jobs some owners inherit I count my lucky stars. The only molested wiring on my car when I got it was the emergency flasher switch was bypassed with a jumper wire so the turn signals would work. All it took was a new switch.

Yeah. This is my first wiring issue. But, I haven't put a battery in, don't have rear lights installed and the previous owner ripped out the whole intererior, radiator, hoses etc.... fuel lines... gas tank... I've got a lot ahead of me. But I just keep hitting these mogals, fixing them and moving on. I greatly appreciate the help I receive on here.

Just be prepared to have to find another problem. He may have been unskilled and unthinking, but the guy who cut it didn't cut it randomly. He cut it because he had a problem he couldn't solve and this "solved" it. As someone who has had to straighten out a little bizarre wiring in my car - inevitably getting the wiring right uncovers the original problem that caused the butchering in the first place.

I can deal with "real" wiring problems. I'm trying to get everything back to stock so that when a problem arises I can square it away properly.
