Flasher wiring placement

What is the correct wire connections for the emergency flasher? My signals etc. work but stop when I have breaks depressed. I believe it is an issue with the emergency flasher. I have a wiring diagram but it does not appear to match my unit. I beleive it shows 7 connections and my unit has 6. Hopefully someone could post a picture or diagram of what colors to what pins on back. Please indicate top, bottom, left, and right and if view is from front or back. My brain is tired and I get confused easily

ON my 72, the brake light wiring does not run thru the hazard switch. I would suspect issues in the back. Bad grounds, wrong bulbs etc etc.

What year is your spider? If it is a spider 2000 it has a different round hazzard and the switch is a center point for many problems.

i thought it was that way
your brakes overide the flasher

.I really looking for how the wires connect to the flasher as I do not beleive they are correct and the signal wiring goes through that switch. I am also interested in the correct connection at the light switch (on the dash) as things change when the lights are on. Any help is appreciated.

My car is a '71
