I'm not sure at this point if you've got the basics correct yet. First you need to get the timing of your valves in spec., if you don't have a manual on how to do this let us know. Then you need to get the ignition timing in spec. The basics of any internal combustion engine is fuel/air, spark and compression. In our FI cars it's not just fuel, but fuel at the higher pressure the injectors need to srpay a mist instead of dribbling a stream. Then spark. You not only need the spark, which you must have if it ran, but the spark has to reach the spark plug at the correct moment. (ignition timing) Once you've done these things and it still won't run well, you could have a faulty component or plugged injector(s). The first component to suspect would be the temp. sensor in the coolant T. It is the most critical of the sensors as far as what your ECU uses to meter fuel and air. Next would be the AFM. It may have a bad track where the sweep arm touches it to receive the signal to send to the ECU telling it how much air is coming in. Look at it and see if there's an obvious bad spot or two. While you're there you should clean it with rubbing alcohol. For us to be able to help you pinpoint what the problem is you need to keep us informed on what you've done specifically. That way we're not shooting in the dark. Keep at it, it'll get there eventually and when it does you'll have learned a lot.

Ron,

the temp sensor on the coolant T was on upside down, which I switched around and made sure the restricted side was facing the right way like someone suggested on here. but the plug that goes into the sensor, the plastic is broken on this. The little metal clip that holds it all together does hold the cracked piece on to the sensor, and it feels like it has a good connection.

I did order some manuals, and will have to look at the sections on timing of the valves, and ignition.

So if that leak is coming from the cam box gasket, that shouldn't be a major problem?

That's a video of when I did have it running by feathering the gas.

Then I got scared and shut it off LOL

Keep in mind that the sensor is sending resistance information to the ECU, so a good connection is critical. If you're getting a good connection you should be OK, but a new connector wouldn't cost much, and may help. I don't think that's the problem though, once you get the manuals and get everything in spec we'll know more. Have you checked for air leaks in the intake boot and plenum?

I did check for air leaks, nothing that I could find.

I'm going to be gone for a few days now so I won't be able to work on her, but hopefully I can do some reading of my manuals and get a checklist going on things I can do!

Thanks for all of the help.
