Am about to replace an engine mount (intake side) 2ltr motor.....any advice ??
Do I need to remove the mounting bracket ??

Loosen the upper and lower nuts on the old mount, Place a jack under the block, spread the load with a piece of wood. Remove the bolts and studs on the bracket and remove. Assemble the new mount to the bracket and bolt it down.
