Thanks to Denise and Craig, (well, Mark too) I'm now able to log in and finally become a member of this fine group of people. I've been reading the forum a lot lately. This forum is a lot like the Porsche Cayman forum.... everyone seems to enjoy helping each other, and there doesn't appear to be any kids or miscreants abounding with foul language and rude talk.
I'm on the lookout for a project car. Little to no rust would be nice (yeah, I know), but mechanical and electrical I can handle. I don't really want a red car, as I already have one. No black or white either. Man, I sure like the color of Craig's spider. That's really nice. I haven't seen many like that for sale. As in zero. I've looked through the ads here, Ebay, and Craigslist. My problem is that I'm impatient. I want one NOW! (But I've found that a wife is a good antedote for impatience.) Any leads would be appreciated.
I'm looking forward to getting into the spider family.
Dennis

Not sure. It's a bluish silvery color. Maybe it's called Azurro or something like that?

Re: Hello Everyone
Welcome Dennis,
Besides color and lack of rust, you might want to narrow it down to whether you want a fuel-injected one (mid 1980 and later), or not, a Pininfarina (1983 and later), an early bumper, late bumper or no bumper car. Also do you want an early car? 1966-69 would be more "vintage". Which engine would you prefer? Most other things are pretty changeable.

Re: Hello Everyone
I'm really not too choosy about most of this. I think I'd be happy with any year. I just don't want to deal with a lot of rust. I know some people can jump right in and take care of any rust problems. but I don't want to go down that road. I'd have to say I would probably prefer a carburetted spider, so I could one day put dual carbs on it.
Say...if two carbs are better, then I'll bet FOUR would really be the best!! Hmmmm, I wonder.....
