'72 Spider owners

Post by htchevyii »

Hey guys, I've noticed several differences between my '72 Spider parts car and my "72 Spider. Mine has narrow slits in the front and rear that the bumper brackets go thru and this one has rectangular holes in the front, a square hole in the left rear and a slit in the right rear. It also has the wrap around tail lamps and little bumps in the front lower fascia that mine does not have. Was there a mid year change or something? I don't have too many pics of my car at the moment, it's in storage, but here are the ones that I found:

Does the serial start with cs or bs. I think the bumper mounting changed in late 72 in the cs models.

I just checked, they are both bs1's. The grey one, (parts car) shows a production date of 12/71. My car is in another town, so I'll have to check later.

Jim,
I can't tell, do the bumpers go thru narrow slotts ot big rectanglar holes? Looks good, by the way.
