Hi,
I'm actually a returning member. I used to go by the user name of feeart but sold my 82 Spider back in 2004. I just bought a "new" 1968 124 Spider. Some of you might remember it, it was Pete Angel's, dubbed deerslayer after he hit a deer with it. Anyway, I'm very excited to be a member of the Spider club again.
Regards from New Hampshire.
Tom

Welcome back Tom and glad you got another Fiat. I am in southern NH and saw a couple of deer on a drive in my '83 last week at dusk. I was thankful to not have my car dubbed Deerslayer two.
Are you going to Tutto Italiano at the MOT in Brookline this coming weekend? I hope to see you there!

Tom.
Welcome back.
I am in Nashua. I will be at the Tutto Italiano show on Sunday.
There seems to be many more Fiats in the NH, Northern Mass area now. We need to get together and hold some events in the near future.

Re: Old member returns as new
Here is the car I bought, although it was in my brothers possession for several years after he bought it from Pete, and it is in need of new paint and a few other areas of TLC. I have been driving it for a few weeks now and it is a blast!

If you check out the "condition" link and follow to the pictures of the deer damage, you will see why it is called "The Deer Slayer"

Welcome. Great Car. Unique wheels, at least I haven't seen them before.

Wish I had the loot for the 68 for sale just south of me. The car looks great. Still original 1438?

Re: Old member returns as new
As I understand from reading through his site, the wheels were custom made by American Racing.
The engine is still 1468, but has a 1608 head, waffle manifold, dual webers, and electronic ignition. This will never be an all original car from that perspective. It's a little hot rod. At least as long as I own it.
