Hiya :)

Greetings from Tacoma Wa. My wife is the proud new owner of a 1981 Spider. It's her first "project car" Honestly, I think it will be a fairly easy project. It's in remarkably good shape for its age and state of neglect. The biggest problem we've had so far is getting the wipers to work, and that was a combination of the fuze being blown and the knob on the dash having fallen down behind the front panel. Once I retrieved it and replaced the fuze, everything works! We are looking at a new top, some paint, and a good cleaning and tune up and she will be off and running. I am more a muscle car guy myself but I like what I see with this little coupe.
This looks like a great community and source of knowledge and I look forward to spending some time here and maybe getting to know some of the members. 8)

Welcome. There is a fair number of spiders down your way,you should have no problem with parts and any assistance.
One thing you'll like about these cars is the fuel milage they can get, combined with the fun quotant and the cheap cost of parts (compared to new cars) and one might wonder why even more spiders are not out and about.

Welcome to Spider world. Many of us had muscle cars in our youth and they were fun, but the Fiats are very special. They grow on you and challenge you. Glad your wipers work. Have you tried the intermittents yet? They are always good for a laugh the first time you see how they work. This is a great website with a wealth of information for you. good luck. I am just up the road in Seattle.
Cheers,

Hello and welcome to the community, I'm a ways up the road from you in Bellingham, so far my experience around here has been great, I've been reading for days on here, so much to absorb about these cars, if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask.
