We'll finally received my new top, and I'm getting ready to install, just would like to know any heads up things from you guys that have done this yourselves, any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Might want to put some green tape down along the rear of the car behind the top.There is a metal frame the rear of the top tucks into. Some adhesive is used to glue the top to the frame. I found when mucking about with it I could have scratched the paint on the car if I did'nt cover it. Perhaps having a helper would make things easier as well. Don't try and close the top right off the bat as well. If cold/cool outside the top will be tight. A warm garage is best and then just hook the top latches to the windshield clips and let sit overnight. It will stretch and you can fiddle with the wire cables to get a good fit. I'm going back several years here so I'm rusty on top installation but will be putting one on the 72 before long.
