Hi all,
Longtime Spider owner (but new to the list), this 1981 white over burgundy being my second. I've owned her since February 1988 and moved her here from San Diego. Main modifications include lowering springs, oversize sway bars w/urethane bushings, header w/straight-thru exhaust to a SuperTrap muffler, roll bar w/crossbrace & 4-point driver-side belts (I used to auto-x), and K&N filter.
I've got lots of old Fiat stories and info to share (e.g.: FCA member until it closed down, I co-wrote the X1/9 Service manual for Fiat USA, etc.) and look forward to sharing.
She's up on stands and under cover for the winter now, but maintenance will continue during the down months. I plan on making some major mods by the spring, so I hope to have many good conversations about the direction I'm thinking of going with other listmates.
I will need to set up a Photobucket (or equivalent) account to get some photos up.
ciao,
sherwood

Hello sherwood & welcome.
With your mods I guess you're going for a fast road version or maybe a trackday car?
Over here winter has arrived. Mine are stored away too.
