Hello from West Virginia

Post by Neely »

Hey all my name is Brian (username: Neely), i just picked up my first Fiat. A '75 124. Just beginning the restoration, the engine runs but needs a bit of body work and all hoses replaces etc. as it has set outside for the past seven years before I picked it up. I'll post pictures of my progress. Any hints or tips would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,

Brian

hello neely
ive heard on here that the 75 is a good car
it has a 4-2-1 exhaust good flow from the motor
the carbs get a little dirty at the primeary jet
the timing on most is at 10 degrees i like mine bumped up a bit for power
but too far and i could burn a piston or 4
dont get to heavy on the rearend it most of these cars
look for rust around the front shock towers, behind the seats and the front floor boards
also ive heard to retourque the head just to be sure its fine
and i dont think 7 years is so long if the bodys good
you can fix the rest
if you got rust STOP it NOW
what color is it?
witch motor is in it?
and you suspetion?
when you do everything correct people arent sure youve done anything at all (futurama)
