Hello
Hello
Hello all, I'm looking for some info on this great car. I hope to be purchasing one in the near future. I live in ga and they seem a little rare around here. I've restored 2 cars in the past but this will be my first fiat. I'm currently working on a ford but I'm keeping my eyes open for a spider.

Re: Hello
Hi there. Yes this is a great place for everything Fiat. If you are looking for a spider.. kinda two schools of thought... if really handy with mechanicals and bodywork a cheaper car with issues can be had real cheap or spend $4000.00 or so and have a great place to start and perhaps drive while restoring. There are actually a ton of Fiats on the east coast. There is the Fiat convention of sorts in Charlottesvile VA in the beginning of Aug I thought. Check IAP classifieds as well as here for cars for sale. Think a couple of good ones are for sale now.
Good luck with your quest, the cars are easy to work on and numerous mods can be done to satisfy one desires.

Re: Hello
Without a doubt, the most important place to look for rust is the front shock towers. Be very afraid of a car that has rust there.

Re: Hello
Well it's a 76 with no ac, one carb and roll up windows. The body seems to be in good condition. Top looks good. With what looks to be a broke ring in the motor. It runs but smokes. I haven't checked compression but I'll do that when I get a day off. Are there any issues with the manual trans on these cars?

Re: Hello
There a few parts that aren't readily available. There is very good vendor support for parts.
