Hi all,

My name is Chris and I just bought a 1978 1800. I actually had a 1400 as my first car back in high school, so I'm a returning spider driver but new here...

I live in Denver, CO and plan to do a little restoration / tune-up over the next little while - talk to you around the forum!

Funny how many of us come back to this little car after owning one or two in the past. Very cool, you will find this site a big help. I wish this site were around the last couple times I owned spiders. In CO you may want to brush up on Carb tuning for your 1800.
Buon giro a tutti! - enjoy the ride!

I was amazed by how slow my old X1/9 was in the mountains on the way up to Vail. Little air up there, but all of fresh! <{:^)

Oh No!! Cover her up! Cold, wet and lonely is no way to earn the respect of a Spider. There is Karma involved with these cars. When I curse after busting a knuckle or doing something all wrong, I curse in Italian out of respect. Seriously, buy a car cover if you do not have a garage to put her in, rust is the immortal enemy of all spiders.

I do like the color and the wheels!!

I snapped this pic when I went outside to wipe her down and throw the cover on!

There's a few of us in the Denver area. We've talked about getting together for a drive in the mountains near Ft. Collins this summer.

I've got a '76. Done a lot of mechanical work on it, but it still looks like heck. Fun to drive though.

Let us know if we can help!
