Greetings from Madison, GA

Post by wriggs »

Hi all. Way back in the day the first car I bought was a Fiat X1/9. Recently, the wife and I decided to give SCCA Solo racing a try and I started looking for another X1/9. After doing some research, a Spider seems to be a better fit for something fun to race around the cones and to also enjoy some road trips to the Georgia mountains or Savannah.

I look forward to learning more about the cars and the people who enjoy them.

I have driven an X1/9 in autocross and have two 124 spiders now. I think the X1/9 is a better autocross car, but it all depends on what you want out of it. The short coming of the stock X1/9 is its low hp. It does handle very nice. I use my Super 7 clone as my autocross car. I have been autocrossing for 43 years and have kind of got tired of it and am mostly just running a few local event now days.
