I just recently picked up a 74 Fiat Spider 124 for a good deal. Its a cool little car. Definitely some interesting mechanical stuff as well as electrical demons. I have been working on BMW, Hondas (pre fast and the furious rice BS) and most euro and japan imports for a long damn time. I currently am building a 1969 BMW 2002 and really should not have picked up the spider but I could not pass it up. Plus I was really looking for an MG.. so far I like the FIat.
The one I got had some good upgrades that make it nice, bullet fuse box replaced with a full bus fuse box and copper wiring, getting rid of the aluminum wiring (though it is a rats nest) I will be cleaning and re-wiring the whole car if I can find a wiring diagram. It also has the electronic ignition, 90 amp alt, lots of new parts and interior is in great shape. It has some rust so I will be searching for a few panels, Rear lower valence, both DS and PS rear fender pieces and a hood. But all in all a good solid car. Did not run when I got her, he said the starter was dead and had smoked. But voltage tests stated otherwise. I changed out the crappy braided ground and put new battery clamps on it and she started up. Brakes are bad too, got the master cylinder primed finally (PO said he replaced it ), got fluid to the fronts and did a clamp test to both fronts, rears would not budge but I suspect they wont?? I could be wrong, maybe they need replaced. Not too sure for it is a little weird and foreign to me the design.
My name is Rob and I will be selling some parts I do not need that came with the car. Extra lenses for the lights, SPeedo Gauge, Hard top and a Brand spanking new Weber 28/32 Carb (never been used)..

Welcome Rob!
I love that 2002. sweet little car.
as for the Fiat, you'll be so glad you did that instead of the MG. been there, done that.
post some pics when you can!

Where in Texas are you? If you are near Houston we have a very large group of Fiat owners that can help.
