Hi my name is Frank from S.E. Michigan. Been wanting a spider from 1982 un-till now. Wondering if anyone knows the red 1981 listed in autotrader in northern Michigan? I have had some good conversations with the owner, but nothing to push me for a final sale. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks to everyone especially Tony!!! Checking out one more a little closer to home http://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/cto/2906900113.html Was this color green offered in 1982? (I prefer the red on the first one) Any input on this one?

The green one looks good from here in BC
I like the colour and the leather interior is a nice touch. If it drives and stops without any issues, I'd be guessing it is well worth persuing. Check for the rust though,(HISTORY) if it was a sunny summer driven car should not be much of an issue but if someone in the past used it as a daily driver, the winter roads could have taken their toll on the car.Regardless though, unless the current owner can verify the last timing belt change and flex disk change, plan on replacing those two things and you will be starting with a clean slate and a piece of mind.
If Tony can ride shotgun, well worth it as he would be snooping under the carpets ect. at the rust prone areas.

meet with fnmucci. he had already bought a nice green 81 spider the day before. and my visting was just tell him everything thing he already knew about the car and its needs for the up coming driving season. we talked a good while had a couple espressoes. made a new friend and he gave me a bottle of his home made wine. good day ! cant wait for us to all get together with our cars
