picking up my 1981 spider this saturday. Had a 74 YEARS ago and loved it. Hopefully it will make the trek down south without troubles

made first trip form Rochester, NY to Ludington, MI. First problem bad alternator or voltage regulator. I did a quick telephone to robert the dallas fiat guru, "just drop another battery in, dont use lights, wipers, radio (hopefully no fan) . You can drive all day"

did so and a charger. all worked, now for the 1100 mi trip home. planning on a couple of 600 mile segments
