Hi all,
Marni here. I am 42, used to love roadsters, but a bad accident had turned me off them, and made me a Rover maniac for the past few years (would have gone with hummers if I could've afforded them)!
Anyway, last fall I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a blood cancer. Its terminal, but you can have a decent quality of life (with not so decent, and downright crappy periods) for a fairly long time. Geraldine just lost out to it after 13 years. Anyway, after 8 months of chemo, and many body scans, my last one showed a mass in my right tata....like 1 cancer wasn't,t enough to deal with.
I was to have a masectomy on June 22, and luckily only ended up getting a lumpectomy. It was somewhere around then I decided I again want a classic roadster, and am discontinuing treatment for the sunmmer to have a "Summer of Me". The surgery has given me a rather late start to said summer, so I believe my summer will be extended til October. Heck, maybe November if weather holds out!
I live in Bucks County, Pa, just outside new hope, so if you're looking for someone cool to drive around with (show me stuff, I'm new here, and I've already discovered so many beautiful places, covered bridges, creeks....I'm sure there are great ones I'm missing!
And no, I'm not trolling for men, I'm in a great relationship, but am always looking to meet people in our new area. I'm fun, I'm funny, I'm a good listener, and I don't only love fiats. If I ever win a large lottery, my spider of course will stay...but next to it will be an e series 60-ish jag! To start....
Looking for a Fiat, or at least foreign car car mechanic in the area...any recommendations?
Nice meeting everyone, and sorry for the late intro....its been a little hectic lately

Hello and welcome. Wish you the best in your ( summer of me ). By the way,my best friend died in a 68 jag in 94 that he had restored to about 95%. He had all the rubber window seals to finish but unfortunately there was not enough left of either one to finish. After reading your brake post , seems to me you would only need a machanic for the realy tough stuff.

Check the websitehttp://www.NJFIATS.orgfor our next breakfast or shoot me an email and I'll add you to the email list. You are more than welcome to join us and take a look at the cars.
Also every October we have a Bucks County Covered Bridge Tour.
Hope to see you soon,
Ralph
