Fantastic! Welcome aboard. Once sorted out, these cars are plenty reliable. I was the original owner of a 1979 X1/9 that I put 135,000 miles on back in the day, with only a couple of wheel bearings needing replacement. I think the problems we see (I have seen with mine) is that so many of them have been sitting unattended for years when we get them, and then all the resultant issues pop up. My 80 FI was an adventure in the first few months, but the last 1000 miles have been completely trouble-free and we have been venturing further afoot on recent trips. Glad to hear yours runs well!

Welcome to the forum. It is always super to have another Oregonian join our happy throng. I'm in Corvallis and this forum has been a godsend to me. There are many very knowledgeable folks here who give freely of their abundant experience. They've saved me a bunch of money and time. Post some pictures when you can of your car. We love pictures.

This was taken at the Philomath Classic Car show a few weeks ago.
