New member from Canada
Hey just posting to introduce myself. My names Andrew, recently gained the Fiat interest from my dad who had a 72 Spider from 73-83 before it rusted to pieces. We just recently picked up a decent 69 he's been driving all this summer, and couple weeks ago picked up a project 72. The body is in better shape than his 69 plus it has a 2000 with dual webbers, but the down side is the interior is toast and the motor so far is seized. Over the next while I think the plan is to strip the 72 and start body work and between the 2 cars theres plenty of good parts to make one nice car. Looking forward to using all the information I can find on the site. Thanks guys.

Hi Andrew. Where do you hang your hat? Kind of a big place Canada is eh..
Quite a number here in Canada and perhaps if you are in a bind, somone near might be able to help out.
As well as the vendors in the states, I use Ital Motors out of Edmonton.
Pics?

Hi John, I was sitting in the ferry line up on Sunday after a two day fishing trip to Sooke. We'll be in Chemanius the begining of Sept for a bit. The 69 looks similar to a car that was for sale in Keremeos a while back. If the build date on the 69 was in the later months, might be a 70, perhaps that was the confusion over the side marker lights.
There are a few here on the forum from "the rock" Launie is in Duncan and Bruce,up in Royston. There was another from Nanaimo, but have not heard from him in awhile.
Cars look good though.

Sorry to be late to the welcome party, John - I'm currently travelling the Oregon coast and haven't had much access to the Internet. But welcome!! I'm way up the road in Royston (Courtenay). Nice to hear of another Island Fiat!!

Yup, big welcome.
Don't know if you are aware but there is a really good car show at Queen Alexandra hospital in Cadboro Bay this Sunday the 19th from 10 till 2. If you get the chance I would highly recommend it...there are hundreds of cars there. Last year there was a couple of gull wings Merc, a Ferrari 250 Gt from the early 60", and lots of classics and muscle cars. I'm thinking of heading down there with my volumex.
