OK I have my '75 124 "driveable"
Well for a block or so at a time. So car seems worthy of next step.
No fuel pump. Just outboard motor line pump gravity feed from lawnmower can to secondary.
Hey, that hose was disconnected and made car run.
Anyway smog pump is gone.
What all can be removed and what has to be plugged up because it is gone.
Anybody got some close up detailed pics of divers side engine.
As for fuel situation, there was a non installed new mechanical pump with this car.
It appears as though it may have had an electric in the trunk.
Any issues just using the mechanical pump?

Re: '75 Smog... What can go!!
On my 1975 I removed all of the smog stuff including the air pump, EGV and plumbing (plugged the air injection holes in the cylinder head) and replaced the stock distributor with one of Mark Allison's Computronix units. That was a huge improvement. Finally I took out the ADFA carb and replaced it with an EMPI 32/36 DFEV. Again, another huge improvement. With all that done I also removed the relays that controlled things like the Diverter Valve By-Pass and the Ignition Mode Circuit. Also went with the 95 Amp alternator that has an internal voltage regulator the original one was also eliminated and took all high amp connections off the ignition switch and ran them through relays.
When I got my car 18 months ago the PO had installed a cheap electric fuel pump. I replaced that with the stock style mechanical and I am very happy with that decision.
If this picture does not show you enough detail of the engine PM me and I will try and take a picture that does.

Man, that's a sweet looking engine compartment.
Doesn't help me much though. LOL
My '75 is a 24 years since last driven unit, bone stock.
Guess I'll eliminate one thing at a time and see how it goes.

Hope it helps.
Also, I have an extra set of plugs for the air injection ports. You can buy them from McMaster or wherever if you want, but I just wanted to let you know.
