New Spider Owner

Post by bobbo52 »

Hello all, I just took delivery of a 1971 124 spider. I joined this forum a while ago to get information on what I need to look for when buying a fiat. Thanks to the members that commented on my post it was real helpful. The car has very little rust, just surface rust around the rear fender wells, shock towers and cross member are solid. The car is in great shape and I cant wait to get it on the road, hasn't been licensed for the last year, needs new tires before I drive it anywhere, they are old and have cracking on the sidewalls. Needs new wheels also because there is 3 mags and one steal wheel. the interior needs restored and it needs paint, it came with a hard top that is white so it will get painted if I keep it. I will post pictures soon. Cant wait to start fixing and driving this little beauty.

Welcome aboard! Great that you found a rust-free one. That is half the battle. Good luck!

Congrats. I'd hang on to that hard top. They are rather hard to find.
