Hey guys,
I messed up!
I took off the steering wheel and column shell.
I thought the horn was a clip attached to the column somewhere. Upon pulling the wire, I realized it's attached to a flat ring that's part of the column.
I have a 24mm socket to remove the nut, and can probably get the ring off with a good struggle.
My question is: can I just solder the wire back onto the ring I pulled it from?
Thanks.

I don't know if you can get in there without melting something. There is an EPOXY that is a conductor and tough as all heck. My Standaard Poodle, BARNEY war bored while I was in LOWES and chewed the defrost tab off the rear defogger on my JEEP hard top. I glued it back on and it's been fine for 2 years. Google frost fighter. Hope this helps.
