81 spider 2000 pina

hey how are you, just joined the site, here from hudson valley ny. Well anyway i think im buying an 81 pina 75000 i think turbo was removed also dont know if they were all turbos or this cars was taken out, just wantd to know what to look for in the car beofre i buy it, test drove it, ran pretty good brakes ok shifted well but not sure what else to look for. might have had a little oil leak but i heard thats pretty common. Well anyway , any info would help me i would appreciate your feedback, thanks again, Jeff

Welcome aboard! There are a few buyers guides out there that are helpful, mirafiori has one, and an internet search will yield a few more. Rust is the bane of these little cars, particularly shock towers and floor pans, passenger side especially due to leak of heater core/valve. Also carefully check all electrics, mostly because they usually have been mucked with by prior owners.
