New Fiat owner in Arizona

Post by AZ124Fiat »

Hello all..
Excited and scared here, my new Fiat arrived today on the tow truck and let me start by saying I know nothing about it.
Lot's of experience in American classics so this will be a learning experience and a lot of fun.
Nice solid rust free Arizona car, 77,000 miles looks like a few performance upgrades and even A/C. But a huge project !
Glad to be here, I know I'll be seeking tons of advice as the project unravels.
If your in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area lets hang out sometime.

door fit looks grand. high probability the odometer has rolled over at least once if not twice. First thing you need is some metric tools  welcome to a growing population of phoenix 124 owners.

Thanks all..!
Spent the day going through the car, hosed off all the dust, spider webs and mud. Car was stored outside for the past 5 years, so a lot of sun rot last licensed in 2007.
Interior is cloth, in decent shape although I am a big fan of the original interiors. Previous owner purchased the car in 1982 and says the 77,000 mi is correct, also car ran perfect when parked 5 years ago.
So far I see a period Abarth steering wheel, Serra headers and exhaust system and a euro tuned weber carb & serra air cleaner, all this at this point means nothing to me so chime in if you have knoeledge of any of these products.
First things first need to get it running, then all the fun begins !

Lots of knowledgeable folks on here willing to help.

Good news AZ = no rust
Bad news AZ = anything rubber or plastic no longer exists :D

Nice, looks pretty good. give it a good cleaning inside. That's a bunch of hoses around the engine! haha, i'm guessing for the a/c. cool stuff.
