Hey everybody,

just got myself a 1978 Spider in decent shape. I will look forward to finding out the inside track on fixing up and maintaining this pretty beast. i think I got lucky, the body is in decent shape and mechanically not bad either.
I am going to get it prepped for paint, it received a bad paint job a few years ago. i am also looking to put 15s on her. does anyone know good(cheap, cheapish) sources for rims. I'm also looking for black if that's possible. I plan on painting her black, possibly with a deep cherry or blood red in final coat before clearing.

Later,
Kevin

Hey Kevin, welcome aboard. Ever have a Fiat previously? or a "fiat virgin"?
There is a number of Fiats owners in Van., some come out the Fathers day show in North Van..past year was a wash-out...imagine that in Vancouver eh..
If you don't already know, Geo Clemente is a good source for Fiat knowlege. He did a great job on FatherG`s car. Clemente`s in on Kingsway. I also get parts from Ital Motors in Edmonton, again Fred and Mario have been dealing with Fiats and Alfas for 40 years or more. The Vendors you see here are also great to deal with, great prices and prompt service. Just don`t UPS into Canada use the postal service.
I have a couple of parts cars for sale and perhaps the odd thing kicking about if you need anything in particular, PM and I`ll see what I can uncover..
Still staying afloat down there.

Greetings from the Comox Valley, Kevin - and welcome to the Forum. You will find the folks around here are extremely helpful and very patient. As Chris said, the Fathers' Day event is a lot of fun - and providing the weather cooperates I'll be over. Hope to see you there!
