Waited to post until I found a spider. Found and bought a white 1978 with only 36k miles on odo. My first spider was a 1969 mustard yellow. I had it from 1973 until it was stolen in 1977. I was very successful in solo/autocross winning 6 class championships in 2 series over a 3 year period. Later mods included pistons and cams, and modifying the carb secondary from vacuum to mechanical.
The 1978 underbelly is almost completely rust free! Mechanically it appears to need only 30k mile stuff like: fluid changes cam belt and tune up. The rear end is not leaking, but engine and/or trans have leaks. Additionally I got a great deal on it.

I forgot to mention, I am going to sell some factory body panels for a 1969 and they might fit later years. I have rocker panels, fenders and hood.

Flat hood?

Yes it is flat, all the panels were ordered for a '69.
