Hello from Ontario Canada
Hello from Ontario Canada
I have an 83 Pinanfarina that I am just starting to get back on the road. The car has been in my family since new. It is 100% original with just over 71000 kilometers (44000 milies) on it. When my parents passed, the car was left to me. Being fairly young at the time (in my late 20's), I didn't have the time or the money to maintain it. As a result, it has sat in storage for the past 10 or so years. Now that I am 40, the time has come to bring it back to life. The way I see it, I couldn't have a nicer car for my mid-life crisis (lol). I am very fond of this beautiful set of wheels and look forward to enjoying it and working on it for many years to come and then passing it on to my own son. There are a few mechanical issues to work out and I am new to the restoration process. However, Exploring this site has already given me some knowledge and hints on how to get started. I look forward to learning and sharing with other Fiat enthusiasts.

Welcome from the Left Coast. You've got a fairly rare beauty there, having been in the family since new. Enjoy!!
Where in Ontario are you? There's quite a few Ontarians on the Forum.

I'm from just north of Toronto. I see you are from Courtenay. I have a relative who lives in Union Bay and runs a business in Courtenay. I've been out to the Island twice and I think it is the most beautiful spot in our country

Hi there, welcome. Lots of help and opinions here to help with your Fiat
A tip we send out to canadian members is when ordering parts from the US, use the postal service. UPS sucks in that they have a bunch of charges that add a ton to the invoice.
Some are fortunate, like myself, that live close to the border and can use a mail drop in the States and then pop over and pick up all those Fiat goodies.

Re: Hello from Ontario Canada
Awesome! Let us know when you are in town. Boston in July is really good. It can be unbearably hot at times, but the college kids are mostly gone and the town is really easy to take. You can walk and subway everywhere that you would want to go. Go to Hanover Street in the North End fer dah best in italiano dining. We like 5 North Square http://www.5northsquare.com/ (Marisa is a genius, but it is a little pricey), and Cafe Vittoria http://www.vittoriacaffe.com/ for sit-down coffee and pastry and the cigar bar downstairs. http://www.stanzadeisigari.com/
