A plugged core is probably the most likely candidate, but I've seen the heater pipe from the water pump plugged up with corrosion and sediment also.

This weekend I'm going to disconnect the hoses that go in and out of the core. Using my air compressor, I'll send a couple of blasts of air from the in hose and see if any fluids come out the other end. Sure don't want to have to tear out my console to get the core out. Although if I have to, I have a great radiator shop that can core and rebuild any radiator.

Well I get to start from scratch as my new 73 doesn't even have a heater core in it. Hoping the parts car one is good. But was wondering like TX82 if I even needed it but realize that is just my laziness talking.

SLOSpider, most likely not. I have not been in SoCal for about 10 years. Outside of Texas the only event i have brought my Spider too was FFO in Nashville. I do know a few Jennifers.

Wait.... Were you over my house within the last two years with a Jennifer in SA that plays Tennis with my wife JudeAnn. I recall talking Spider mechanicals and restorations with you if we are talking about the same Jennifer. I reacll you were in from SoCal? Ray
