Good evening All.

I have owner Fiat Spiders since 1988 when I went to school at U of W in Seattle, first one was a 74 and have had 4 others through 1997. I then decided to move on to "real sports cars" and have been through the Porsche Boxters (98 and 00), Maserati Cambio Corso convertible (04), Aston Martin DB9 Volante (06), Ferrari Super America (05), Alfa Romeo 8C (coupe 08 and convertible 09) and am now back to Spiders for the love of the classic car that introduced me to the simplicity of life in a drop top.

Ok well there is a little twist :)

So I have decided that this car should be one that people like me (a little older or younger) should be reacquainted with from their less than desirable use of Fix It Again Tony nomenclature.

I am setting out to purchase (5 to date), restore as needed to full operational condition, with new paint and interiors and other upgrades (most important reliability) and let people visiting the island of St. Bart's rent them for their stay.

Stay tuned ill let you know how all the restoration processes go as I am using two shops in the US currently and PLEASE if you have any leads on good cars, parts, restoration facilities please pass them on as if this concept works i am going to have my hands full managing the process and shipping them to the Caribbean.

Wish me luck.

Welcome. Quite a pedigree of sports cars...any favorites?
FIAT is...fixing it as therapy..

I was thinking of doing something similar here in the south Okanagan. However after thinking it through a bit more, renting the classic old Fiat to people that in all likelyhood have either never driven a standard (Young kids)or are real rusty in the skill in conjunction they would be used to go to the ga-zillion wineries around here for wine tasting...(impared...accident...invalidates insurance..) , I thought better of it.
Good luck in the venture, let us know how it works out.
There are several great ones here on the forum for sale that are ready to go. In my opinion, saves a ton of loot compared to a $1000.00 special and bringing that up to spec.
Good luck
