How too quit

I am at the point where I would like to start painting and putting the car back together, But I seem to keep finding little things that I can not seem to over look that maybe someone else wood. Its holding me up from painting lol.. So question of the hour is " When Is Enough, ENOUGH? LOL As I was sanding the engine bay remove everything I notice where the hood attaches was looking ruff, so I fixed that. I am just concerned ill keep finding little things and never get too paint it lol...

Well in my opinion... if you have the attention to detail and the patience to match, the car will look great and if ever entered in a "beauty contest" could have heaps of hardware hoisted upon it.
You will of course be satisfied as I find the owner is the worst critic (I am with mine).

I suspect that attention to detail was one of the reasons the spider went for $40,000.00+not too long ago.
Carry on, nice being in Florida as you can do this outside without the chance of snow..

Be done and sorted before hurricane season though?

Yes if so I will move the project too indoors ( rent a storage building of course ) ....

The last car I just wanted to paint took me a bit longer. I removed the insurance after 6 month and finished after 3 years. It turned out pretty nice but sometimes it sucks to be a perfectionist.

I am of the belief that I like to do things to the best of my ability and only once or as needed. To each their own

I am part of a local car club here in town. No one has seen the car yet so therefore I kinda want that "WOW" factor when they say pop the hood lets see whats under it and see it .... No what I mean?

IMHO, It is one of those things you have to look at big picture before focusing on the brush strokes. How long are you going to own this car, are you building a show stopper/driver/both, How patient of a human being are you... will you have a beutiful body with hundreds of hours of work into the paint only to have the car that sits because of limited or common mechanical delays. If you are building it to be a concourse show car then I don't know the answer to "How to quit" because you could literraly spend years building the perfect car. i would caution that reality dictates paint chips, coolant overflow/spills, oil stains will occur. If you are building it to drive then you will inevitably have to compramise your time and talent to enjoy the ride sooner and more frequently.

I just turned the calender into year 7 on my resto. I'm am burnt out and find i am slowly lowering my expectations. I'm not willing to just throw it together and drive, but i am definity lowering the bar.

Yeah I understand what you guys are saying. Here is few other things I am working on I deleted all the body lines below. I think it will look better with no lines showing in the rear quarter panels.

did you weld the seams before you filled them. on the lower rear panels and the front valence. if you did not, they will stress crack, i know from experience
