most of the time i hear Tucson pronounced with equal weight on the 2 syllables. like in " one, two".

there once was a man from Nantucket, whose fiat parts all came out of a bucket, he said with a grin, whilst taking a spin,

Years ago, and I'm talking late 70's early 80's there was a news anchor on one of the affiliates here that insisted the second syllable was emphasized. Can't remember his name, but he was native AZ, so who am I to question it, I'm a yinzer from Pittsburgh.
