Re: This Guy
Welcome.
A VW guy eh...I have some questions for you. I'll pm later.
I went the other way Fiat first in 76 then 78 wabbit. Today 80 fiat and 92 golf (queston) and now 07 passat 4motion
You'll have a set of metric so half the issue of maintenance is covered. A couple of easy to find manuals and this forum and good to go.
Plenty of vendors out there for new and used parts.
Where do you hang the hat? Members here are from all over and sometimes are not adverse to popping over for some instalation fluid and a wee bit of advise.
If you are near Lancaster CA, evidently don't have a lawn chair nearby if Ron comes over to help

I had a '69 bug too. Preceded by a '67 bus, followed by a '69 bus, another' 69 bug, '72 squareback, and a '70 Karmann Ghia convertible. I had '63, '64 & "66 Corvairs and '77 and '79 Toyota Celicas many at the same time. Not to mention a Ford E150 and International Travel-all. God it was fun being single and loaded with cars.
